When Jesus was 8 days old, Mary and Joseph took him to
the temple for dedication. Simeon went to Mary and Joseph and explained that God
had promised that he would see Jesus before he died.
“Simeon’s Song” shares the
excitement Simeon felt being able to hold Jesus and thank God for Him after
waiting his whole life to do so. For the
